Whimsical Vintage Themed Wedding inspired by Alice In Wonderland

Our sweet couple chose a Whimsical Vintage Themed Wedding inspired by ALICE IN WONDERLAND. Thus, our team was keen to keep the playful whimsical nature of the fairytale and took inspiration from the book illustrations and weaved in fun fonts, quirky quotes and a botanical nature into the stationeries, decor and flower arrangements.
We incorporate the navy, burnt orange, burgundy and mustard yellow palette into quirky decorations such as the watches, top hats, vintage keys, playing cards, tea pot rabbits, our signature “drink me” tags and vintage books into a wacky Mad Hatters Tea Party!
A bold bouquet According to Thai customs, a couple traditionally becomes engaged during a ceremony known as “Kan Maak“. In order for the wedding to continue, the groom must bring the bride to join him for the engagement ceremony. However, before this can happen, the groom must successfully pass through a number of obstacles that are put in the groom’s way by the bride’s family inside our Looking Glass House. After he successfully passed all doors, he will be able to pick up his bride. Next, the bride’s parents will count all of the dowries at the Wonder Room. When the best time comes, the groom and bride will exchange their engagement rings in front of their close friends and families.

Our team was keen to keep the playful whimsical nature of the fairytale but without going too far into the cheesy Disney adaptation world, and providing inspiration for a modern couple.
We took inspiration from the book illustrations and weaved in fun fonts, quirky quotes and a botanical nature into the stationary such as the schedules, escort cards, banners and signages.. Who doesn’t love some out there alternative ideas whether it's full on wacky Mad Hatters Tea Party Esque or more subtle and pretty with sweet vintage detail.
We use playing cards for table numbers and vintage keys as escort cards. Furthermore, we integrate mosses, bold coloured flowers and petals inside stacks of teapots, teacups and saucers. Glass domes with flowers and elements of Alice's fantasy world as well as variety of delicious cakes and cocktail food stations.
We incorporate the Navy. Burnt Orange, Burgundy and Mustard Yellow Palette into quirky decorations such as the watches, vintage keys, playing cards, tea pot rabbit, our signature drink me tags and vintage books into a Mad Hatter Tea Party.
We were pretty sure we turned our venue into a Wonderland! It was indeed a magical day filled with love and happiness. Thank you K. Som and K. Babe for trusting The Apothecary Venue and may you two have a beautiful marriage and an endless fairytale.
