NATIVE AUTUMNAL
WEDDING
Oil & Peud, November 30, 2o19
In the middle of Fall, two people happen to come across each other and fall in love like the enchanting leaves of Autumn. They met and lived in the beautiful and diverse country of Australia for 15 years and decided to come back to Thailand to take their vows in front of their loved ones.
The couple chose a personalized theme for their wedding, an “Autumn Native Wedding” which is incredibly heartwarming and nostalgic with many elements from the native culture. Including multicoloured and vibrant flowers making their special day more lively and breathtaking. The couple indeed had a spectacular, bright Autumn wedding.

A bold bouquet According to Thai customs, a couple traditionally becomes engaged during a ceremony known as “Kan Maak“. In order for the wedding to continue, the groom must bring the bride to join him for the engagement ceremony. However, before this can happen, the groom must successfully pass through a number of obstacles that are put in the groom’s way by the bride’s family inside our Looking Glass House. These symbolic “doors” can only be entered once the groom has proved his worth to the keepers of the “locks”. This part of the wedding ceremony is the most fun with plenty of laughter and frivolity most of which comes at the expense of the groom as he is teased and gently ribbed by the bride’s family. with Autumn colours. Rustic-inspired arrangements blends with hints of romance makes the wedding even more special and stunning.

After he successfully passed all doors, he will be able to pick up his bride. Next, the bride’s parents will count all of the dowries at the Wonder Room. When the best time comes, the groom and bride will exchange their engagement rings in front of their close friends and families.

Nothing says Autumn quite like reds and burnished orange of fall leaves and this colour combination captures those shades perfectly. Incorporating the gorgeous autumn colours with flowers, napkins, tablecloths, and even the plates and silverware. Orchid, anthurium, flaming protea and Craspedia filled the dining table in this majestic hall. Moreover, we love how the contrasting pops of coral and turquoise teal in the table number cards give an otherwise traditional palette a contemporary twist! Vibrant, fun and super pretty it is perfect for a romantic affair.

Khun Oil, our lovely bride is a food blogger (ig: @eat.today.diet.tomorrow) reviewing amazing food and desserts in Melbourne, Australia, the magical place the couple met. Thus, the cake station for this couple will be extra special because it resonates their lifestyle. The Donut Wall is a new fun twist on wedding food and guests love them! We add small fall touches to the wall to incorporate the theme of native flowers with autumn hues to the top of the board.

Of course, orange shades are the classic Fall choice for a reason! Not only do they tie in nicely with the turning leaves, but they also have a warmth, richness and opulence that adds a hint of luxury to any event. And make the most of the season with some unexpected treasures like wild native flowers in the floral arrangements to give that gorgeous foraged feel. Earth tones are a great way to keep a wedding soft and easy.

The palette also consists of rich golden to yellows, brilliant reds, browns, burgundy and eggplant. Hence, the bouquet is filled with orchids, anthuriums, flaming proteas and Craspedia.
